MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING

SATURDAY, MAY 24, 2003

ULTIMATE SPORTS, WAITE PARK

Meeting called to order by President Odman at 1:00 PM.

Roll call showed all directors were present.

Motion Brennan, seconded Wegscheid, carried to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.

Also in attendance: Greg Anderson, Harold Meissner, Rick Mickelson, Lon Berberich, Dan Plein, Chuck Wright, Corey Tauer, Brian Henjum, Matt Fitznberger, and Mark Johnson.

Motion Zellmann, seconded Richter, carried to disapprove the player questionnaire of Chuck Wright to play for Red Wing.

Motion Roufs, seconded Wegscheid, carried to disapprove the player questionnaire of Greg Anderson to play for Brandon/Evansville. Anderson played before having questionnaire approved by state. Penalty: Anderson will be ineligible for the 2003 season and Brandon/Evansville will be allowed to play out the season but will be barred from Post-season play. Players from the Brandon/Evansville Team are not eligible to be drafted. Anderson and Brandon/Evansville must appear before the State to be reinstated for the 2004 Season.

Motion Richter, seconded Fiemeyer, carried to approve the Pro Player Questionnaire of Mike Newman to play for Rosen Exp.

Motion Wegscheid, seconded Forsman, carried to approve the Pro Player Questionnaire of Troy Gustafson to play for Soderville.

Motion Richter, seconded Roufs, carried to approve Mike Fritz to play for LeSueur. Fiemeyer abstained.

A letter was received asking for the approval of Lenny Manning to play in Wisconsin and also in Minnesota. Motion Richter, seconded Forsman, carried to deny his request.

Motion Fiemeyer, seconded Fischer, carried to approve the Central Valley North and South Leagues Eligibility and Radius restrictions.

Motion Wegscheid, seconded Forsman, carried to approve Brandon Olson who played for the Mankato Moondogs, to return to St. James.

Motion Richter, seconded Forsman, carried to approve Tournament Sanctions for: Cold Spring Rockies June 14, 2003, Miesville July 10-13, 2003, Cannon Falls June 18-22, 2003, Green Isle-Arlington June 19-22, 2003, New Prague May 30-June 1, 2003, Belle Plaine June 6-8, 2003, Dundas June 7-8, 2003, Hinckley June 20-22, 2003.

Motion Fischer, seconded Brennan, carried to approve the following teams to play Non-MBA teams:

Dundas Prescott, WI, Norwood Bancroft, IA, Elrosa Cars for Less Trojans, SD, Hastings Eau Claire, Prescott, Chicago Titans, Rochester Royals Eau Claire, WI, Pipestone Flandreau, Dell Rapids, Lennox, SD, Green Isle Brookings, SD, Webster Cleveland Ind, New Market Cleveland Ind, Fergus Falls Fargo Mudhens, Fargo Tournament, Cannon Falls Spring Valley, Prescott, WI, Lake Crystal Cleveland Ind, Canby Castlewood, Lake Norden, Watertown, SD, LeCenter Cleveland Ind, Rosen Exp Castlewood, Sisseton, SD, Dumont Wyndmere, ND - Castlewood, Sisseton, SD, New Richland Cleveland Ind, Isanti TC Tornadoes, Ortonvill Valley Clear Lake, Sisston, Castlewood, SD, Blaine Hudson River Rats, Miesville Eau Claire, Prescott, WI - also for teams in their tournament to play Prescott, Red Wing Eau Claire, Prescott, WI - Lake County, IL - Des Moines Vikings - also for teams in their tournament to play Des Moines, Eagle Lake Cleveland Ind, Hinckley Bayside, Oulu - also for teams in their tournament to play Bayside and Oulu.

Motion Roufs, seconded Wegscheid, carried to approve the Player Roster of the Cleveland Independent Team and their Game Schedule. This Cleveland Team must keep their roster intact and must report all changes made to the State Secretary.

The board discussed and went over the class "B" sections. We have some concern with the Mankato Twins folding this year. Motion Fiemeyer, seconded Fischer, carried to table this business until the June 14th Commissioners meeting. We need Commissioners in-put. If you have interest in you section, be there.

The board received minutes from the Metro Minny League dated May 14, 2003. It concerned Player Troy Heifort Eligibility. The league approved Heifort to play for Blaine. However, after the board read over the league minutes and a letter that was provided by Heifort's father to the league that Heifort had a dual residency. A motion by Roufs, seconded Wegscheid, carried that since Heifort is not a college student, he is not eligible under the dual residence. Heifort's primary address is 7330 Galagher Dr, Apt. 138, Edina. This address is also in the Class "A" Boundary. Should there be any appeal on this action, next meeting is June 14, 2003,10:00 a.m. at O'Hara Bros, St. Cloud. Fiemeyer was not present when this action was take due to other commitment.

Secretaries: REGISTRATION IS DUE JUNE 1ST. SEND IN YOUR CONTRACTS AND RELEASES. Make sure Player Questionnaires are acted on by the league and the state before the player plays.

Next meeting of the MBA will be June 14th at O'Hara Bros. Pub, St. Cloud at 10:00 a.m. We will break for lunch at 11:30 a.m. All Commissioners are invited. We will continue our meeting after lunch to set up Regions and Sections. We urge all Commissioners to be there. Please return your meeting card if you plan to attend or not by June 10th so we know how many meals to order.

No further business to come before the board, motion Forsman, seconded Wegscheid, carried to adjourn. Adjournment coming at 4:20 p.m.
