Jerry Wegscheid, chairman of the schedule committee, presented the board with the 2005 state tournament schedule. After reviewing it, a motion by Fiemeyer, seconded Forsman, carried, to approve the 2005 state tournament schedule as presented. Schedule to be out after July meeting.

Umpires for the 2005 state tournament will not be selected until the state meeting, July 9. So, if there are umpires out there that haven’t applied, there still is time. Forms are on our web-site.

The board next discussed setting up the sections and regions. Motion Hartmann, seconded Wegscheid, carried, to present the new alignment to the commissioners. Opposed: Fiemeyer. With board approval, Fred Roufs went over the 2005 section and region alignment with the the commissioners present. Each commissioner had their say or input on their section or region. Vernie Radloff, Region 2, said their region did not want to take the Western Minny, as they are only two teams that don’t play anybody to get to the region. Roufs asked if he had a solution where to put them, he replied in the First Nite or Gopher Region. Roufs’ reply was, to get there they will have to cross over all the teams in Region 2. Being this was going nowhere, motion by Richter, seconded Zellmann, carried, that the 2005 section and region alignment be approved as presented. Voting against commissioner Radloff, and director Fiemeyer.

League secretaries: June 30 is roster deadline, get your contracts and releases in (now).
