McGowan turns 100

Long-time amateur baseball supporter and former MBA board member William H. McGowan turns 100 years young this month. McGowan has been involved in amateur baseball for over 60 years. In honor of his 100th birthday there will be an open house for him Saturday, April 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Countryview Estates, Apt. 5, 1000 SE 1st St., Fairfax, MN 55332. All are welcome to attend. If you can't make it, but would like to pass on congrats, cards are welcome sent to the address above. Phone calls are also welcome at (507) 426-7861.

2008 state tournament website now online

The 2008 Class C and Class B state tournament will take place at Chaska and Shakopee. The host sites have a web site now up and running at www.stateamateurbaseball08.com.
